Being the fern lover that I am I couldn’t resist embossing this gorgeous fine silver pendant with a beautiful fern design.

The pendant begins life as a few pieces of off cuts of fine silver, l have heated them to a molten temperature until the organic piece begins to take shape. This is then fed through a rolling mill to flatten the piece ready for hammering with the fern design. The back remains plain showing the authentic pitting formed while in its molten state

I have little control over the melting process and the organic shapes formed during this process, this makes this piece truly one of a kind.
