My Story

My name is Caroline Sullivan and l create contemporary jewellery in Sterling Silver and Bronze.

For as long as I can remember I have had a passion for designing and making things. I studied Fashion Design at the London College of Fashion and with a love of colour and textures formed my small Knitwear business, but after many years of working with yarn I was ready fo a change!

So how did my jewellery journey begin …?

Eight years ago I began to question how I could replicate my textile skills in the creation of a line of jewellery, another passion of mine. Always up for a challenge and having spent most of my life working with yarn, threads and string, l began to explore the possibilities of knitting with precious metals ie. Silver. It was after much exploration and experimenting that I discovered Viking Knit (Trichinopoly chain), an ancient technique of knitting on a small dowel or tube with silver wire… and that was it. l was hooked! Literally!

I have since developed my skills further. l am virtually self taught and now use silversmithing techniques to produce handcrafted, one of a kind designs in Sterling Silver, Argentium Silver and pure Bronze.

Many of my pieces are embellished with semi precious gemstones for their contrast of colour and surface texture to compliment the silver and bronze. Great thought goes into the design and creation of every piece of jewellery with an emphasis on quality of craftsmanship and finish.

l like to think my designs are characterised by their unique handmade structures, incorporating all of the textured details which reflect my lifelong passion of working in textiles.

All of the pieces of jewellery featured on these pages have been designed and handmade by myself in my studio in Suffolk, UK.

I am registered at Goldsmith’s Assay Office, London and on many of my pieces you will find my personal Hallmark. ( Depending on weight)

My primary aim alongside creating one of a kind treasures, is to help you the customer find a piece of jewellery that you or your loved one will enjoy for many years to come.

Caroline
