Light Grey Sea Glass Pendant

Light Grey Sea Glass Pendant

£39.00

For this silver pendant l have used a beautiful piece of frosted light grey sea glass found by me while beachcombing on the island of Paxos, Greece.

The sea glass is set in a handmade fine silver backless bezel allowing the light to shine through. It is suspended from a quality 18’’ sterling silver belcher chain.

A truly unique sea glass necklace and one of a kind. Handmade, forged, set and polished in my studio workshop in Suffolk.

Please note : due to lighting colour may vary and differ across devices.

The beautiful surface of the sea glass may show tiny dimples these are genuine marks caused by the many years of tumbling in the ocean.

Caring for your jewellery

I do not recommend letting the jewellery get wet. Over time the sea glass may start to look white from the natural frosting, if you prefer the sea glass to look brighter in colour you can rub a small amount of oil in to it and gently polish with a lint free cloth. I recommend using a tiny amount of baby oil which is safe for skin contact.

Please take care to avoid your silver jewellery coming close to products such as hairspray, perfume and cleaning products, they can affect the silver by tarnishing it. I would recommend removing jewellery before bathing, swimming and going to bed and storing in the box when not being worn. Use a silver polishing cloth or the little cloth provided to silver.

What is Sea Glass?

Genuine sea glass began its life as a human made object, such as a bottles or piece of tableware, before finding its way in to the sea after being discarded or deposited. These glass objects, or shards, are tumbled by the sea for many years even decades before being washed ashore where they can be discovered washed ashore easily recognisable by the gorgeous, frosted finish found only in natural sea glass.

The sea glass used in my collection was found by me either on our Suffolk shores or while on vacation on the island of Paxos in Greece. Each piece has been carefully selected before being used in my designs.
